Gandhi
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (காந்தி | மோகன்தாசு கரம்சந்த் காந்தி 2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was a pre-eminent political and ideological leader of India during the Indian independence movement. He pioneered satyagraha. This is defined as resistance to tyranny through mass civil resistance - a term which Gandhi used in many of his statements and writings. His philosophy was firmly founded upon ahimsa (nonviolence). His philosophy and leadership helped India gain independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.
Anna Flyover
Anna Flyover (aka Gemini Flyover) (Tamil: அண்ணா மேம்பாலம்) , lies in the heart of Chennai. Opened in 1973, it was the first flyover in the country and in Chennai. Its main purpose is to allow traffic movement on Mount Road — now renamed Anna Salai — near Nungambakkam High Road (Uthamar Gandhi Salai) to continue unhindered by the cross traffic.
Natesan Park
Natesan Park is a park in T.Nagar, Chennai, India. It is located on Venkatanarayana Road. The park covers an area of 4 acres and was opened to the public on 13 September 1950 by the then Minister of Agriculture, A. B. Shetty. It is the only park maintained by the Chennai Corporation that has a skating ring for coaching children. There is also a plant propagation centre and play zone for children. It is a popular spot for morning walks for the local residents.
Karaneeswarar Temple
Karaneeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple located in the neighborhood of Saidapet in Chennai, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is an ancient Temple presently managed by the HR & CE department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The Goddess is known as "Swarnambika" (The Golden Mother). Apart from this, there are separate shrines for Lord Ganapathi,Lord Karthikeya and other Parivara Devtas. This temple is located next to the Saidapet Railway station.
