Kamaraj Memorial
Kamaraj Memorial House is built in the memory of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Kumarasami Kamaraj. Kumarasami Kamaraj (Tamil: குமாரசாமி காமராஜ்) better known as K. Kamaraj (15 July 1903 – 2 October 1975) was an Indian politician from Tamil Nadu widely acknowledged as the "Kingmaker" in Indian politics during the 1960s. He was the chief minister of Tamil Nadu during 1954-1963 and a Member of Parliament during 1952-1954 and 1969-1975. He was known for his simplicity and integrity. He was involved in the Indian independence movement.
Valluvar Kottam
Valluvar Kottam (Tamil: வள்ளுவர் கோட்டம்) is a modern landmark in Chennai, India which is dedicated to the classical Tamil poet, philosopher and saint Thiruvalluvar. Valluvar Kottam is located at the intersection of the Kodambakkam High road and the Village road. Valluvar Kottam now stands at the point which was the deepest point of a lake which was located in the area. The monument was constructed in 1976 in the memory of Thiruvalluvar, who wrote his famous Thirukkural about 2,000 years before.

Pattinathar Jeeva Samadhi
Saint Pattinathar Tamil: பட்டினதார் was a Saivaite and a Spiritual leader. He was born to Sivanesa Chettiar and Gnanakalai. His father was a trader in Tiruvidaimarudur, Thanjavur district. His birth name was Swetharanyar after as epithet of Lord Siva of Swetharanyeswarar Temple. He was also called as Thiruvenkadar by the people. When he was five years old, he lost his father. Like his father, he spent money on Siva devotees and fed them daily. He was a trader and had enough wealth.
Royapuram Beach
